I cannot believe it has been a year since I last wrote an update! How fast time slips by.
Did any of us expect the pandemic to effect our lives for more than a year?
Dealing with my husband’s death last June was only the start of all the challenges to follow. Planning projects – has been my answer to coping with the world I now live in. I totally redesigned my small back garden. Designing it kept me occupied during the dark days of the post Christmas Lockdown. Clearing all the old clutter consumed my time in March and April, then finally work started in late May. Not an easy process, as ever, contractors do not always live up to their promises, added to very wet weather in late May and early June. It was finally finished at end of July and I enjoyed a few months in my new Spanish Style Courtyard Garden.
The project still goes on with planting, decorating the back of the house to blend in, and now trying to find someone to put right the bits that really are not up to an acceptable standard! !!
It was pleasing that you my valued customers continued to work on your beading projects and kept me busy with orders throughout the year, a huge Thank You to you all.
I found having a structure to my days was the best way to stay afloat. Our local Fitness classes have continued via Zoom on weekday mornings, so the perfect way to start the day. Seeing friends on the screen and getting the body moving too. I follow this by preparing the orders and a daily walk to the local post office.
Since September business has not been quite so busy giving me chance to catch up with sorting and tidying the beads. I hope you will be back ordering again soon.
You can rest assured I will not be making any price increases. Much of our stock was purchased prior to the first lockdown, and as it is just myself working from home, I do not need to increase prices. The only changes I may need to make will be to shipping, if the Post Office increases their rates.

I am also in the process of creating a new section for Handmade Jewellery – Barb’s Beaded Bling. Without the craft show outlets my stock of handmade jewellery is taking up far too much space. I hope to sell the finished pieces. You may just find inspiration for your own makes, as many of my designs are made using beads from stock. This project may take a little while but I will get there.
