On this chilly November day it feels like Christmas is not far away. Why spend hours trudging round the shops or battling the crowds at the Christmas Markets when you can make lovely personalised gifts at home. Draw the curtains, turn up the heating and get out your beading tools.
This month I am adding some simple Necklace Kits to our selection. Everything you need to make the project – most of them in just a few hours. All you need is some tools and the basic technique for adding the clasp.
Here is the first one which I added today.
This simple but effective necklace is made from Freshwater Potato Pearls. Using white as the core colour randomly intersperse other colours either in groups or singularly to create your own design. A seed bead is used as a spacer between each pearl so no need to worry about pearl knotting. The longer strand measures 18.5 inches and the shorter strand is 16.5 inches but these can be adjusted for personal taste. Attach a two ring slider clasp included in the kit to keep the two strings separated and you’re done!
