As many of my regular customers are aware my husband and I set up Beads and More as an online shop just over 14 years ago. He would go over to the Far East every January and buy new stock which we shipped back in the most cost effective way, hence keeping our prices low. We have always passed on these savings to our customers, and much of the stock we currently have was purchased pre Covid, so there will continue to be no price increases on this site. The only increase in the next months will be shipping, which I need to keep in line with Royal Mail price increases.
In June 2020 just as we were settling into lockdown my husband suffered a fatal stroke and passed away within hours. Since then, throughout Covid I have continued to run the business alone. I manage the website,control stock, process orders, deal with queries and send out the orders as speedily as possible. I regard my daily walk to the post office with orders as good exercise.
Luckily I have stayed Covid free, but pre Christmas I damaged my leg, for which I have needed Physio. This has been coupled with the dreaded cold/flu bug. I therefore feel I need to take a short rest to recuperate. I plan to take 10 days rest returning to business on 24th January, with next date for despatch being 25th January.
Apologies if this causes any problems, but this is a quiet time. I can hopefully return feeling fit and healthy for the rest of 2023
